Demon Hunter
Summer of DarknessPosted by Ashley Munno

Although they may call themselves a Christian metal band, Demon Hunter isn’t a band that you would be able to pinpoint with that concept on either of their albums. Instead the band sticks to the fast track and keeps both of their records moving with solidly founded concepts and an enormous amount of creativity all placed in a single album.
On “Summer of Darkness” Demon Hunter prove they have outdone their previous self titled release. Take their debut album’s best track, “Infected,” multiply it by 10 and that is where most of the songs on the new album rank. The opening track “Not Ready to Die” is enough to make a fan of the previous album go nuts with its tremendous amount of strength and improvement over the last album.
In fact, I would say Demonhunter’s debut album was excellent, and therefore “Summer of Darkness” would have to be given the classification of ‘amazing’ for it to get the type of recognition it deserves. “Our Faces Fall Apart” and “Less Than Nothing,” along with the opener “Not Ready To Die” prove to be the three best Demonhunter tracks ever.
With moments of solid heaviness and pure energy and emotion on every song “Summer of Darkness” contains, Demonhunter easily show why they rock.
